A SHOP in Dursley is shutting its doors for a refit next week.
Dursley Garden Machinery, located on Uley Road, is getting a makeover.
The family-run business will close their doors for a week starting on Monday, November 13 and is due to reopen on Monday, November 20.
When it reopens, the shop will specialise in cordless battery powered machinery and robotic mowers as main dealers for EGO, Kress, Ambrogio, Stihl and Cobra.
The business says the move will allow customers to reduce their carbon footprint by reducing the amount of petrol used.
A spokesperson from the shop said: “This decision has come following Honda withdrawing their dealership at short notice and with no explanation.
“We have been advocates of cordless machinery for several years, and with the latest developments in battery technology, feel now is the right time to make the switch.
“This is a move that we are very excited about, and we can’t wait to welcome you into the revamped showroom and future of garden machinery.”
