It is currently based in Thornbury Thornbury Leisure Centre.

Lyn said: “Our current elite group was formed back in January 2023 and have been training rigorously to reach this point.

“I am excited to see their continued progression over the next year as they have already achieved so much in such a short space of time.

“At novice level one several pairs in different age groups ended up on the podium: Eric and Elana with gold, Lily & Molly with gold, Oyku & Ozge with bronze and Anya & Evely with bronze.

“Gold and silver went to the novice level 1 trios too: Frankie, Maria & Isobel with gold and Laura, Poppy & Nerissa with silver.

“Two Kestrel trios competed at novice level 2, and they came away with gold and bronze: Sophie, Nelia & Thea won gold and Anna, Summer & Evie won bronze.

“Congratulations to Kestrel for their most successful performance in their history, both the elite gymnasts and the coaches have worked hard to get to this point and thoroughly deserve this incredible result.”

Kestrel's head coach Lyn was also awarded the trophy for the club with the highest score of the morning of all the novice partnerships.
